APPLICATIONS & CONSTRUCTION

Sequin patches for reflective fashion and promotional details

Fashion & statement pieces

Use reflective surfaces where shine is central to the design. Include a colour reference and show which areas need sequins or supporting embroidery.

Performance & event apparel

Describe the movement, garment and placement. Review attachment, comfort and appearance under the lighting relevant to the finished item.

Promotional apparel & accessories

Keep the recognisable outline and branding clear at the final size. Include packing and delivery requirements in the quotation brief.

For a matte logo or fine text without a reflective surface, consider embroidery. Use your artwork and intended effect to choose the construction.

Specifications to include in your quotation

Colour & reflective effect
Supply reference colours and explain the required shine. Photographs and screens can change the appearance; use the sample to approve the finish.
Sequin layout & stitched areas
Identify fine text and outlines that must stay legible. Confirm how the sequin layout and embroidery work together at the finished size.
Special or reversible effects
Identify any reversible or direction-changing effect explicitly. It needs its own feasibility review and is not a standard feature of every sequin patch.
Attachment & wear
Specify the fabric, placement and cleaning expectations. Check the edges, stitch security and attachment on the sample before bulk approval.

What to check on your approval sample

Review colour and reflection in suitable lighting, the sequin layout, visible text, stitched edges and reverse. Confirm attachment and care expectations for the intended garment.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions buyers ask.

Prepare a clearer brief before sampling and production.
What should I include in a sequin patch brief?

Include the artwork, finished size, quantity, desired reflective effect, colour references and application. If a reversible or special effect is required, identify it explicitly for a feasibility review rather than assuming every sequin design supports it.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send your artwork or reference, quantity, finished width and height, intended application and required delivery date. If you are unsure about the backing, include a photo or description of the garment or surface.

Can I start with a sketch or reference image?

Yes. A sketch or reference is a useful starting point. The artwork and construction details need to be reviewed before a production quotation and sample plan are confirmed.

How are minimum quantity and lead times confirmed?

MOQ, sample timing and bulk timing depend on the design, construction, size and quantity. Confirm these in the quotation and agree the production schedule after sample approval.

Which backing should I choose?

Share how the patch will be attached and used. Heat application, sewing, removable attachment and adhesive placement have different requirements. Garment compatibility and attachment details should be confirmed before production.

What needs approval before bulk production?

Confirm the artwork, dimensions, colours, material, edge finish, backing and sample requirements. Record the approved details together with quantity, packing requirements and the agreed delivery schedule.
